College Street Church of Christ is a 55,000 sq. ft. new facility built on the north side of Waxahachie to replace the existing downtown facility. The project provided a state of the art sanctuary with acoustically designed floating cloud ceilings. The project also included a new education and family life center. The structure was a combination of conventional structural steel and a pre-engineered metal building with an architectural metal roof. The foundation is a slab on grade with chemical injection to stabilize the highly expansive soils. The auditorium itself is designed to hold 1,800 people, not including the concourse and meeting areas.
